Upper90 Management, LLC and Nashville’s premier child health and wellness influencers partnered to bring Healthy Kids Day to Centennial Park on Saturday, April 16. The free, one-day festival provided and promoted activities that affirm active, healthy lifestyles – particularly focused on Nashville’s children and their families.
Collaborating on the Festival will be the Mayor’s Office of Children and Youth, Metro Parks and Recreation, Metro Public Health Department HEALs (Healthy Eating Active Living), Metro Parks and Recreation, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, the Vanderbilt Child and Family Center and the YMCA of Middle Tennessee. The groups will combine all of their diverse, youth-driven initiatives into one giant event special to celebrate the end of the nationally recognized Week of the Young Child.
HEALs is a movement focused on fit lifestyles, obesity prevention and healthy living, and first head the youth fair in 2010. Conveniently, Healthy Kids Day, a national YMCA initiative, falls at about the same time this year, allowing the two health advocates to combine forces to educate Nashville families on the benefits of wellness.
